And also cheaper.īusiness is booming worldwide for Spotify, in spite of not offering hifi, that is the point.

I have swithed from spotify premium to tidal Hifi and I can tell that the sound quality is better. Most of the music I have been listening have lost of details in high frequencies and my setup is Hifiman Sundara + Qudelix. And if local seller has promised to deliver better quality wines then they should do as promised. And cheaper wines are okay for them (including me 😅) while amateur wine taster is able to distinguish the differences even in the manufacturing batches for the same manufacturer and they also would like to have better taste wine. Average people would not notice different between different brands no matter how fancy the wine class is. As a drummer myself, however, I often wake up to how unnatural cymbals often sound in a compressed audio. Of course, if you’ve almost never before paid attention to what cymbals should sound like you won’t notice anything weird. Having to sync my Spotify playlists to Tidal-even with good tools like Soundizz-sucks and still doesn't allow for all those things listed above.Įspecially in cymbals it is noticed. Other platforms don't meet all those needs, and Spotify is missing this one feature. It's frustrating because Spotify has wonderful features like cross-platform support, Spotify Connected, Wrapped, good recommendations, nice UI, shared session, social connectivity etc etc. Will some people want podcasts? Of course! The product isn't only meant for you who doesn't use X feature. Look at the number of people who don't use or care for podcasts. The whole point is Spotify HiFi not meant for the average listener, nor does it need to be.

But why's it so 'wrong' to want some updates on a feature Spotify said back in February they would release later this year? Some of these folks can hear the difference, others cannot.

For all the 'who cares?' A certain small subset of folks with HiFi setups-me included-who want to squeeze those last bits of quality (having already spent hundreds to thousands on that last 5% of quality), who want some peace of mind end-to-end care.
